GROUND TRAINING -1 Day or 2 Evenings A one-day training school designed to teach you the principles of skydiving and parachute control. Subjects include aircraft procedures, freefall techniques, canopy characteristics, equipment familiarisation and emergency procedures. This course can be taken at the Centre or at our City Training Centre over 2 evenings. If you are organising a group then we can also come to a suitable location of your choice. STAGE ONE 10 -12,000ft - 2 INSTRUCTORS As a first jump, the priority is to teach you to feel comfortable with your new surrounds, in particular, height and environment awareness in freefall, as well as competent parachute control and landing. STAGE TWO 10-12,000ft - 2 INSTRUCTORS Stage 2 is designed to consolidate the objectives of the stage 1 jump and introduces you to the body-flying techniques employed in controlling directional movement during free-fall. If you're not hooked already this will do it - it's great fun and really shows you just how much control we have in freefall! STAGE THREE 10 -12,000ft - 2 INSTRUCTORS This jump teaches you how to maintain heading awareness in freefall and introduces the techniques used to initiate body turns. Now you are finding out just how much control you do have - it's a great feeling! STAGE FOUR 10 -12,000ft - 1 INSTRUCTOR A series of sequenced manoeuvres intended to reinforce all new techniques learned to date. These include forward movement, turns, and hover control. Now you can't wait to go again! STAGE FIVE 10 -12,000ft - 1 INSTRUCTOR This jump teaches the principles of docking (linking with other skydivers) and combines directional and forward movement control to ensure that a correct position is maintained. STAGE SIX 10 -12,000ft - 1 INSTRUCTOR As well as introducing new methods of freefall control this jump is used to teach you the principles of "spotting". Spotting is the name given to positioning the aircraft into the right position to enable all jumpers to land accurately back at the landing zone. STAGE SEVEN 10 -12,000ft - 1 INSTRUCTOR After making a solo dive style exit from the aircraft, this jump allows you to experience different attitudes whilst in free-fall by introducing loops and fast forward movement (tracking) STAGE EIGHT 10-12,000ft - 1 INSTRUCTOR "Putting it all together". This jump allows the student to demonstrate proficiency in free-fall by completing a routine of predetermined manoeuvres - a really fun jump ! STAGE NINE 4,000ft - SOLO The graduation jump - a solo jump from 4,000 feet designed to demonstrate the ability to exit the aircraft in a stable manner from a lower altitude than previous jumps and to then control the parachute proficiently. |
